Josh Plourde, RA, has 16 years of experience working at multiple scales and building types in the architecture & construction industry and has been involved in over 3.6 million SF of built real estate. Fluent in building design, construction administration, project management, and carbon strategy innovation; he is passionate about the confluence of building performance, sustainability, finance, and human experience.

Josh is currently Product Lead for Core and Shell at Nabr, a direct to consumer, multifamily residential housing RE development firm where he focuses on the building systems development for structure, MEP, and exterior envelope - ensuring the right fit for each product system.

Prior to joining NABR, Josh was Workplace Lead at Google R+D for the Built Environment where he led multiple initiatives centering on the Future of Work, prefabrication in construction, and generative design software solutions.

Before joining Google, Josh served as lead Project Architect for Google’s headquarter building, Charleston East, in Mountain View for BIG Architects NYC.

As an Associate and Senior Architect, Josh practiced for 9 years at Foster+Partners, a Pritzker Prize winning international architecture firm in London, where he helped deliver projects such as Imperial College London, the AT&T Performing Arts Center projects, and Apple Park, including 6 years of on-site development and construction of Apple’s Main Building. Josh is a licensed architect in California and holds a B Arch from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. He is passionate about democratizing design to promote greater transparency and quality in the built environment.
